Learn from the past, prepare for the future, live in the present.

We think all day long, constantly. A tremendous amount of information and thoughts during the day just come and go. Some are less important and pass by, and some stay in our heads longer. We don't know the exact number, but interestingly, one study suggests that we have an average of about 6,000 thoughts a day.

Of course, our thoughts during the day can be positive and negative. We remember the beautiful moments of our lives but also have negative thoughts and traumas. Our thoughts flow constantly around our past decisions and actions and about a future that exists only in our heads.

We often hear that we must let go of the past and not think too much about the future. Being present in the moment is the key to happiness. But that's nonsense. Each segment is equally essential. No one managed not to think about anything unless they were clinically dead. Our past has built us, and experiences and knowledge remain forever with us.

The future motivates us because we have goals that keep us going and for which we work every day. However, it's essential to know that goals are just a signpost that tells us in which direction we're going!

Life is Happening Right Now

The future is always uncertain, and we can do nothing about it. It is not worth worrying about what will happen or what if tomorrow! Save your energy and invest it in something you must do now, in the present. You can do some exercise, fitness, or other activity, or just do something, and you will feel better.

Thinking too much about the past or having too much expectation about the future leads to sadness, anxiety, and depression. Both ways of thinking are dangerous. We have to return a bit to the present and actual life.

How do you change your life and not put yourself in that situation? You have to find a balance and not get too overthinking. The point is to stay balanced, learn from the past, and prepare for the future, but you have to stay and be in the present, just like when a ship drops anchor. It is the healthiest perspective when looking at everything together.

With overthinking, you only secure a ticket to various illnesses and fatigue. Use your body's precious energy for other things you can do. Try to stop, feel yourself, and just breathe, and you will realize no problems. Our mind creates all thoughts and possible scenarios, making us unhappy and anxious.

Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.

The present is the dimension in which everything happens. It is the moment when we can take action and do something to improve our future. Life is happening right now, so don't leave things for tomorrow. Tomorrow may not exist. Do your best now and complete those tasks, whatever they were, and that's how you can change your life.

Starting and maintaining a habit can be challenging, but don't give up the first time.

Stay motivated and build a habit slowly.

Physical exercise stabilizes overall mood, relieves stress, and reduces negative and anxious thoughts. What we decide to keep in our minds affects our bodies, so the connection between physical and mental health is two-way.

Everything in life seems connected, and balance is equally important everywhere.

Only a balanced attitude toward the past, present, and future gives us balance and a positive attitude toward life.
